Irony of Life

There's nothing finance about this post. I read with a heavy heart about the stampede that happened in South Korea that resulted in more than 150 deaths, mostly young adults.

Halloween is a day when people are out to have fun and let your hair down (I don't celebrate it but it's getting more and more popular in Asia), but to the families of the victims, it will always be a day of mourning.

It's all the more poignant as it's supposed to be a happy event. It's also the first major party after the pandemic. We finally regained our freedom after almost 3 years of pandemic restrictions.

Such is life. It's unpredictable and can be cruel at times. Let's start enjoying every bit of our lives and at the same time stay safe and stay healthy.
